Shared Journey
ACTS IN 90 DAYS
A reading for Wednesday, September 30, 2020: Acts 27:1-12.
"We put to sea, accompanied by Aristarchus, a Macedonian from Thessalonica."
Paul begins his journey and the good news is that he isn't traveling alone. His long time companion and "fellow prisoner" (Colossians 4:10) Aristarchus is with him. Jesus sent his disciples out in pairs (Luke 10), and even now it's a shared journey to Rome. We even learn that there are others, as the centurion Julius allows for them to care for Paul.
The Christian life is not easy. Most of us will never face the challenges Paul endured, however there are things that make following Jesus difficult in the world we live in. The good news for us is that we are also not alone. It's a shared journey. Thanks be to God.
