 ACTS IN 90 DAYS

A reading for Friday, August 28, 2020: Acts 20:13-16.

"...he was eager to be in Jerusalem, if possible, on the day of Pentecost."

Few men in the ancient world saw as much of the world the Apostle Paul. In today's lesson we have a sense of just how much Paul traveled in service to the gospel.

Yet he remained connected to his foundation and roots in Jerusalem. He returned perhaps in search of a recharge on the day of Pentecost after so many miles. The Holy Spirit would continue to inspire Paul for the work that was ahead.

What a gift we are given each week as we return to worship in search of a recharge. It is the same Holy Spirit that inspires us for our work. Thanks be to God!
