 ACTS IN 90 DAYS

A reading for Friday, August 7, 2020: Acts 16:16-40.

"At the same hour of the night he took them and washed their wounds; then he and his entire family were baptized without delay."

Paul preached a gospel for slaves, and prisoners. He preached that the gospel was for the jailer and the police too.

The gospel is like nothing else in all the world. It doesn't adhere to the divisions of our world.

The gospel washes wounds and heals them. It confronts authority and turns systems upside down.

The gospel is the hope of the world, then and now. Thanks be to God!
