Bored to Death?

A reading for Thursday, August 27, 2020: Acts 20:7-12.

"Overcome by sleep, he fell to the ground three floors below and was picked up dead."

What an incredibly strange story we find in the middle of chapter 20. Paul is preaching one night and apparently it goes on for quite a long time. One young man sitting in a window falls asleep and falls to his death. What?

Just to prove that Paul works for the Lord Jesus Christ, he kneels down and brings the boy back to life.

No matter how strange things get in our lives and in the world, always remember nothing can separate us from the life everlasting in Jesus our Lord.
