4 Acts Play
A reading for Wednesday, May 3, 2017: Acts 5:17-32.
Act 1 (courtroom)
Jesus was arrested by the High Council.
The disciples in Acts were arrested by the High Council.
Act 2 (prison)
Jesus was crucified and placed in the tomb.
The disciples in Acts were thrown into prison.
Act 3 (Temple)
God raised Jesus from the dead leaving the tomb empty.
God sent an angel to deliver the disciples in Acts leaving the prison empty.
Act 4 (your life)
Disciples in Acts: "The God of our ancestors raised up Jesus, whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior that he might give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins."
Disciples today (us!): "...and we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him."
