Jesus Never Said...
A reading for Thursday, February 2, 2017: Luke 6:27-36.
Think about this... How funny would it sound to us if Jesus had asked those he was healing to pay for their encounter? Wouldn't it be strange if Jesus had only served others for what they could do for him in return? What about the gospel entitled, quid pro quo? There isn't one.
Jesus never said, "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours."
