Light to the Nations!
A reading for Wednesday, December 14, 2016: Isaiah 42:1-9.
God said through the prophet Isaiah, "I have given you as a covenant to the people, a light to the nations..."
So be light to every nation on earth in Jesus name.
Be light for peace in the midst of conflict and war...
Be light for shelter for the fleeing refugee...
Be light for the immigrant in search of survival...
Be light for world leaders in the midst of a global economy...
Be light for the planet under stress from population stress and global climate change...
Be light even for every faith under the sun in the midst of human diversity...
God said we are sent to the nations as light. "I am the Lord, I have called you in righteousness, I have taken you by the hand and kept you." Be a light to the nations!
