Another Chance...
A reading for Tuesday, October 25, 2016: 1 Kings 1:32-40.
Even after all the insanity of David's final days as King over the nation of God's people, he eventually comes to his senses and does what's right for the people. He agrees to have Solomon his son anointed as the King.
Perhaps this is simply a story that tells us never to give up. Things are not often so bad and hopeless that nothing good can come out of it. There is always another chance to do what's right and in the best interest of others.
Even if we haven't done what we should, today is another day that brings yet another chance to be the people God wants us to be.
Lord may we be diminished that you might be glorified!
