Darkness Is Nothing For God
A reading for Tuesday, May 17, 2016: Genesis 1:1-5.
Chaos and darkness is nothing for God. In the beginning, God's Spirit hovered over the darkness. When there was nothing, anything... God was already there. When God spoke, light was created and the light was goodness and peace.
Even when we find we are in a dark place, know that God is already there. Darkness is nothing for God. God can speak into such darkness and create something good, even if others intend the darkness for evil. God can bring goodness and peace.
We trust in God who rules over the darkness. There is no real battle between good and evil, because God has already defeated evil in the power of Jesus Christ!
