The Simplest Truth Of Easter
A reading for Friday, April 8, 2016: John 20:1-18.
The simplest truth about Easter is this... Our greatest hope is that one day, like Mary, we might turn around and experience the presence of Jesus in our own lives. We might hear the Risen Christ say our name. We might identify him as Lord and know the comfort of his presence again.
Truth is it happens now, everyday, all the way until the everlasting. Jesus is with us. He lives!

Canticle
Christ, as a light
illumine and guide me.
Christ, as a shield
overshadow me.
Christ under me;
Christ over me;
Christ beside me
on my left and my right.
This day be within and without me,
lowly and meek, yet all-powerful.
Be in the heart of each to whom I speak;
in the mouth of each who speaks unto me.
This day be within and without me,
lowly and meek, yet all-powerful.
Christ as a light;
Christ as a shield;
Christ beside me
on my left and my right.
