Peace Supper
A reading for Friday, April 29, 2016: 1 Corinthians 11:17-26.
Paul taught about the Lord's Supper as a way to heal division and bring unity to a community. He was addressing some of the conflict that was happening at the church in Corinth. The Supper, or Eucharist in some traditions, was the remedy to bring peace. It still has that same power. "For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes."
