A Story About Sharing the Peace!
A reading for Tuesday, April 19, 2016: Acts 16:16-39.
Paul and Silas not only spoke of the peace of the Lord, they lived it. They lived peace on the road, and at home. They lived peace with people they knew and those they didn't. They lived peace with friends and with enemies. Paul and Silas lived peace when they were free and when they were thrown into prison. No matter where they were and what they were doing, Paul and Silas were witnesses for Christ and the peace of the Lord.
And others responded to the peace of the Lord because of Paul and Silas... "They spoke the word of the Lord to (the jailer) and to all who were in his house. At the same hour of the night he took them and washed their wounds; then he and his entire family were baptized without delay. He brought them up into the house and set food before them; and he and his entire household rejoiced that he had become a believer in God."
This is a story about sharing the peace of the Lord! This too is our way of life...
