...Still Standing!
A reading for Wednesday, September 2, 2015: Mark 15:1-11.
In the midst of the chaos of a pseudo-trial, the conspiracy of the leaders, and the corrupt power of all the authorities, Jesus continued to stand firm. Alone he stood for the mission of God to save us. Even when the authorities of the empires demanded the release of a murderer in place of Jesus, he stood firm in the mission of God.
For generations, men and women of all races, nationalities and forms of Christianity have stood firm too in the name of Jesus against injustice, conspiracy, corruption and war. May we honor them as we remember the sacrifices they made in Jesus name. Amen.
