Winter Storm Warning: Stay in Control?
A reading for Thursday, February 19, 2015: John 1:29-34.
It's weeks like this that remind us how little control we have over the circumstances of our lives. Here in Nashville and Middle TN, schools have been closed and people unable to live their normal routines. Amazing how much we depend on our routines...
Thanks be to God, we trust a savior that transcends our control. He is the Son of God, and the One who brings the very Holy Spirit of our creator. We are baptized in His name and trust that nothing at all can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
Not even snow and ice...
On this first day of Lent, we are grateful to join John in proclaiming, "Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"
