Can You Hear It?
A reading for Friday, January 30, 2015: Mark 6:47-56.
Fact is, sometimes we don't recognize the presence of Jesus when he is right in front of us. Our needs overwhelm our senses. Our fear takes hold of us. We don't understand. Our hearts are hardened.
Those are the times when perhaps it's most important to listen more intently, to the voice heard above the wind and the waves of life's struggles. Can you hear it?
“Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”
