Wisdom and Hope
A reading for Monday, September 29, 2014: Luke 5:1-11.
Wisdom would require that we stop once something looks futile. It's is better to give up than to lose everything going after something that is not going to happen.
Hope is different. Hope requires that we continue once something looks futile. Hope enables us to risk everything after something believing what is not yet realized.
There is a time for wisdom and there is a time for hope. Our lesson today about Jesus and the first disciples has both... Where do you connect with the story?
Truth is that in Jesus Christ there is both!
Wisdom AND Hope.
