Light and Darkness
A reading for Wednesday, February 12, 2014: John 8:12-20
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness." (Genesis 1) In the beginning, the very first thing God created was light because the world was filled with darkness.
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” The point is the same. Jesus came to bring light because the world was filled with darkness.
May you bask in the joy and peace of the light this day and never more be overcome by darkness.
