Thanks for the blessings of 2013. For family, friends, good health and mission of God in the world. We have the opportunity today to give thanks for the grace of God we have experienced.
We are hopeful for the blessings of 2014. Wonder what God will do with us and through us in the coming of a new year?
There is perhaps no more appropriate story for such a day than the story of the birth of Jesus. The culmination of generations of hope and expectation. The newness expressed in the birth of a child full of life and hope.
This is the day the Lord has made. May the new year be a chance for new beginnings for you and me and the whole world. Peace to this house!
